The RASA award has been established in 2015 in memory of Georgy Antonovich Gamow. Andrei Zorin and Victor Chernozhukov are the new George Gamow® award laureates for 2023.

The prize has been awarded since 2015 in memory of Georgy Antonovich Gamow – an outstanding representative of the scientific diaspora, Soviet and American theoretical physicist, astrophysicist and popularizer of science.
